Severn Valley Cider – The process of making cider

Here at SVC, we pride ourselves on our locally made, organic cider. The orchards have been brought back to life with careful pruning and clearing around them over the last few years and the results are now starting to pay off. Even ciders marked as organic in the shops often use sulphates to help preserve them while they are stored and transported, it does take a little of the subtlety away from the taste every time you process it and add preservatives, this is essential for a more commercial brand, but because our cider is made right here and matured locally, then put into barrels and bottled on-site, it will only travel a couple of miles to the local pubs and drunk quickly, so there is no need for artificial preservatives.
